In 1966, the Consorzio Latterie Sociali Mantovane was born and their union immediately stepped up as a symbol of excellence in the production of butter and fresh creams, the main reason why they are called “La Cremeria”. Throughout the years Virgilio also included hard cheeses, putting Grana Padano DOP and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP on the market, making them the only one bearing both those certifications. With business and growth booming they have expanded from Brescia, Verona, Vicenza and Padua, and new associates joined the Virgilio family, which, as of today, counts 70 associated cheese factories and over 2.000 associated breeders as members.
