The mission of Parmareggio is to meet the consumer with high quality products and enhancing the innovative product of members. The Granterre – Parmareggio Group on this Mission is developing a strong will inside of intent in order to create a unique and shared identity, which have been based on the values that distinguish it.
Parmareggio was born in 1983, in Montecavolo of Quattro Castella, among the hills of Reggio Emilia in the Parmigiano Reggiano production area, becoming in just a few years a world leader in the production and marketing of Parmigiano Reggiano. In 2004 Granterre Consortium of Modena, acquires a majority stake. The Granterre Consortium is a cooperative that combines 60 individual producers and 36 dairies representing about 1,000 farms.
This acquisition marks a change in the business strategies and the image of the brand, to which is added the launch of the new range of products. In 2006, in fact, it started the Parmareggio project, with the specific intent to create a brand in the undifferentiated world of Parmigiano Reggiano. It ‘been created the current brand Parmareggio, introducing the brand Mr Parmareggio, ideal owner company owner and guarantor of the quality of Parmigiano Reggiano Parmareggio.
The capacity for innovation was then a crucial element that allowed, through intensive research, to develop new products and especially new opportunities for consumption of Parmigiano Reggiano. Today Parmareggio, with two production sites of Montecavolo and Modena, with its range of products present in the totality of Modern Distribution, is a reference to the consumer in the Parmigiano Reggiano market and the first company in the industry to have communicated the values of own brand through a TV campaign. Since 2009 Parmareggio then incorporated the company Fiordalba Srl and butter factory in Modena, presenting itself as well, not only as a leader of the Parmigiano Reggiano, one of the leading companies in the production, packaging and marketing of butter.
